We are delighted to be listed as a reference in the recent study on trauma-informed care (TIC) in a homeless women's shelter, highlighting the positive impact of our training.
Trauma Informed Practice training was developed in conjunction with Novas and we are incredibly proud of the positive benefits that have grown from this collaboration.
The evaluation, published in the International Journal on Homelessness, demonstrates significant benefits for both service users and staff, including increased trauma understanding and reduced incident severity. Post-training, there was a notable reduction in incident severity and a 50% decrease in emergency medical service (EMS) calls. Additionally, staff reported increased trauma understanding, confidence, and enhanced self-care practices. These findings underscore the efficacy of TIP training in improving both service user outcomes and staff well-being.
