Sinead Heffernan is a Lecturer in Mental Health at the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Prior to that she worked in both adult mental health and child and adolescent mental health services as a mental health nurse for 25years.  She is now introducing TIP  to the nursing curriculum. Another area of interest is in relation to marginalised groups who are exposed to intergenerational trauma. She is passionate about contributing to the development of mental health services using humanistic, sustainable, and patient centred approaches.
