Sinéad Carey is the Head of Homeless Services with COPE Galway, an Organisation that provides services to the people of Galway across three areas - Homeless Services, Domestic Abuse Services and Senior Support Services. Sinéad has almost 20 years’ experience of working in the non-profit sector. She has an MSc in Public Health and a Level 9 Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership and Management. Sinéad leads on COPE Galway’s work in Trauma Informed Practice, an approach to which the Organisation is exceptionally committed, and has been a TIP trainer for over 5 years positively influencing organisational change.
She has a strong interest in harm reduction approaches and the design of peer programmes and is a member of the National Naloxone Quality Advisory Group. She strongly believes in the strength, skills and expertise of communities to themselves effect and embed positive transformatory change.
