Lorraine O'Connor, a Dublin native, embraced Islam over 19 years ago and holds a degree in Women’s Studies from University College Dublin. With a strong background in community leadership, she previously served as the Chair of the Dublin 12 Women’s Action Group.

Lorraine is the founder and current Chair of Muslim Sisters of Eire, an organisation dedicated to promoting integration, alleviating poverty, and providing support to those in need. One of the group's most impactful and long-running initiatives is a weekly homeless feeding program, held every Friday outside the GPO in Dublin. Through her leadership, Lorraine continues to break barriers, foster inclusivity, and offer vital support to vulnerable communities.
