Dr. Judith Butler is a lecturer and researcher in early childhood development and psychology at Munster Technological University(MTU) Cork. Judith supervises research for master’s and PhD degrees. Her research areas include relationships in the learning environment, the social domain of children’s development, positive and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and trauma-sensitive approaches. Judith has extensive experience working with and on behalf of children and has published and presented her research both nationally and internationally. She is the former President of OMEP Ireland and the former editor of An Leanbh Óg: The Irish Journal of Early Childhood Studies. She also serves on the scientific committee of World OMEP. Judith is a UNICEF ExpertTrainer in ‘Emergency Childhood Development Support’.
